Could not boot from IDE disk (Re: No response (due to SCSI problem ?))

 mesh を使っていると一日一回くらい止ってしまう(反応がなくなって
mouse さえ動かなくなってしまう)。二三日動いている時もある。どのよ
うな時に止ってしまうかはとても気まぐれで、何がきっかけかは、とても
想像が付かない。

ということがあって、全てを IDE でまかなって見ようと Seagate 
ST52520A (2.4G) に全てを入れて見ました。
19990119 snapshot + 今まで使っていた mesh+de+wscons kernel
と、+ snapshot に元々入っている kernel の両方を試したのですが、
どちらも adb を見に行くところで止ってしまうように見えます。

いつもの如く症状の報告だけで済みませんが... 起動時の様子を一応
付けておきます。
   input-device ttya/kbd
  output-device ttya/screen
両方とも同じです。(多分)起動は boot ata/ata-disk@6:0 のように
しています。6:0 と確かに入力していますが多分数字は意味がないと
思います。

mouse,keyboard 供に PS/2 を使っています。その辺の組合せはいく
つか確して見ようとは思っています。

そう言えば IDE の CDROM は(SCSI 起動でも)使えていない気がします。
